We are a family who loves dogs and have been raising puppies for over 13 years. Let us help you find the right puppy for you. We raise Bernese Mountain dogs, as well as family-friendly Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles. Let us know how we can help!
Here they are! Biscuit delivered her puppies in the early morning hours of July 5th. I think one or two of them were actually born on the 4th, but my eyes were blurry and it's easier to say the 5th.
Biscuit delivered 7 healthy puppies - 4 boys and 3 girls. All of the puppies are growing and they and mom are all strong and healthy. At this age (3 days), they all look remarkably alike, and that is normal. In the next few days and weeks, we'll start to see more differences emerge. It's a fun age.
In the spirit of the Fourth of July and US Independence Day, we have tentatively named the puppies after famous people from "back in the day."
First the Girls:
"Betsy" (Ross): Dark Blue collar
"Abigail" (Adams): Green collar
"Dolly" (Madison): Yellow collar
Boys:
"Samuel/Sam" (Adams) - brewer and patriot!: Red collar
"Thomas" (Jefferson): Orange collar
"John" (Adams): Light Blue collar
"George" (Washington): Purple collar
Anyway, here are the pictures you've been looking for. ENJOY!
Precious little Biscuit is officially pregnant! She is "filling out" and doing all of the things I am not allowed to, as a man, say about pregnant females - especially humans, like the one I'm married to.
But, if we were to just talk about a dog, and promise not to be make metaphors about humans that might cast aspersions on my wife, here is what I would say. Biscuit is eating a lot more than normal, moving a lot less than normal, sleeping a lot more than normal, and grumpily not wanting pictures taken of her. All of this is normal and expected.
Biscuit currently lives with a wonderful family friend, Miss Jennifer, who has been her provider and caretaker since Biscuit joined our Cute Goldendoodles/Sherwood Farms "family". I will be bringing Biscuit to our home on June 28th, and Biscuit is due to deliver her puppies approximately July 4th. Her puppies will be old enough to go to their new homes approximately around Labor Day - which begs for a Dad Joke about pregnancy, but I will abstain. (You're welcome.)
I'm not positive how many puppies Biscuit will be delivering, and I have no way to know boy/girl ratios until they are born. I currently have 4 people/families on my "interest list" for these puppies. It has been over a year since we have had a litter of mini-Goldendoodles, so if you and I have talked/texted/emailed/socialized on media, etc., (or, none of the above!) and want to be included on our list, please feel free to reach out to me. (info@cutegoldendoodles.com) and I will confirm your spot on our list, or add you to that list.
I run my "interest list" differently than many breeders do with a wait list. I don't like to hold on to people's money, so I will not collect a deposit until the puppies are born, and people are able to make a decision on whether this is the right time for them to adopt a puppy, or not. It seems strange, but I love when people tell me they aren't ready to adopt, because I would never want to force a family to adopt a puppy and/or put that puppy into anything less than an ideal scenario.
Once the puppies are born and growing, I reach out to those on the list and confirm their continued interest. People who are still on my list will have the opportunity to play with and select their puppy about 5 weeks of age. I vigorously maintain the integrity of our list, and I don't skip people or pressure people to decide. (If you want more details on this, just ask me)
OK. So, here is what you suffered through all of that text for... Here is Biscuit (photos taken 6/17) in all of her "leave me alone" mood. Somehow, she still finds a way to be adorable.
In honor of Mother's Day, yesterday, here is a hopeful update on upcoming litters.
Our sweet, little, Biscuit had a "Honeymoon Experience" last week. Biscuit had two breeding sessions with Toby, who has been the Dad for her last two litters. Assuming everything goes as expected, we should have mini-Goldendoodle puppies born around July 4th (!) and they will be old enough for their new homes around Labor Day of this year. (Those dates are estimates)
Biscuit is a 24 pound F1 mini-Goldendoodle - which means her mom was a Golden Retriever and her dad was a Poodle. Since Toby is also a Poodle (about 15 pounds), the puppies will be F1b mini-Goldendoodles which means they will tend to have curlier hair, and almost no shedding at all.
Biscuit's and Toby's past puppies have grown to between 15 and 25 pounds, with 20 pounds being a safe average for expectations. The past puppies have all been eagerly received, and all reports have been glowing with fun personalities and adorable looks.
Here are some of my favorite Biscuit pictures:

The last puppy from Terra's litter went home juuust before this current "Arctic Blast". On the same day, we tested Gemma to confirm her pregnancy and to see how many puppies she was expecting. Unfortunately, that number is zero. It turns out that Gemma is NOT pregnant. Wow, that was not a happy day.
Our upcoming plans are as follows:
For timing purposes, please remember that from the Breeding Date, there is approximately 9 weeks before puppies are born, and then the puppies stay with us for about 8 weeks before they are ready for their new homes. I would love to speed up that process, but I won't do anything that would hurt the Moms or puppies - and Nature makes the rules!
If that timetable doesn't work for you (first of all, I'm sorry!), please feel free to reach out to me and maybe I can help you find a puppy from a different breeder in the state. There are a few I would heartily recommend, so let me know!
Thanks!
Furry little "Teddy" is looking forward to meeting his new family. He is hoping for some people who like to play with him and his toys, and also want to hold him in their lap and snuggle with him.
His favorite activities are:
Teddy is an F1 Bernedoodle (more details below). He has just turned 9 weeks old and he is fully Vet checked, vaccinated up to date, microchipped, and ready to go.
The puppies from last year's litter have grown to about 50 - 65 pounds and I think Teddy will fall into the 60-65 pound range.
He is a "little to no" shedding dog and he loves playing and snuggling (did I say that already?)
Let me know if you would like more information on Mr. Teddy. You'll love him as much as he will love you!

"There's no puppies like Snow Puppies, like no puppies I know..."
With all due apologies to Irving Berlin, or whoever wrote the original version of that song, today was all about dogs that love snow. And, guess what? Bernedoodle puppies love playing in the snow.
The stars of the following video are Trixie and her brother Teddy. They are both 6-weeks old. Trixie is almost always chasing after me and has a lot of brown on her face. Teddy, with a very white chest, is more of a "thinker" puppy and he loves to stop running and just look around at his surroundings and relax. He knows I will pick him up and pet him and he knows there is no reason to run. Trixie is always ready to snuggle.
Either (both) of these adorable puppies will be ready to go to their new homes just after New Years. Please let me know if you'd like more information.
